Let’s take an already busy family who just gave birth to their third child and add a big move to their lives and what do you get when they come to the studio…an amazing, and relaxing newborn session (go figure). The Berti’s have been such an important family to me personally and professionally.
We became friends through our husbands who were childhood friends. Turns out, we would become good friends as well. We were both in each other’s weddings, traveled together, and even had children around the same time. Now, they are moving even closer to us, yay!
When you decide to start a photography business, of course you practice on those good friends. When I started my business almost 5 years ago, it was Sabrina (Angela’s first born) who I practiced on…and I thought I had it down! Oh how things change. If I can dig up those photos, I will share…even though I will be utterly embarrassed!
Then, when Angela was expecting baby #2 (Michael), I asked her to model for a maternity session. The photos were stunning. Mostly because she looked like a goddess. Those images really set a standard for me in terms of session preparation. Now, women are really planning and preparing for their maternity sessions much more than before and what a difference that makes.
Now, fast forward a few years and they have joined the party of five family (with newly arrived Baby Joey). If you have three kids, you understand that the dynamic completely changes. They out number you and it’s chaos. Well, at least it is for my family and if you seem to be completely cool and calm with it, then I don’t want to hear it. It’s like everyone seems to want or need something all at the same time and all you can wish for is an extra pair of hands, or a clone.
All I can say is that life becomes an adventure, buckle up!
Enjoy some previews from their session and comment away for them to earn a few goodies!
